The MA15 series surge protection devices protect electronic equipment and computer networks from the effects of noise pollution induced by mains power supplies. The MA15 unit "cleans up" the effects of industrial noise and surges caused by lightning, switchgear, thyristor controls, transmission system overloads and power factor correction circuits.
Industrial control systems employing programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial computers are particularly susceptible due to the aggressive electrical environments that they are intended for, such as processes, factories and wastewater treatment sites.
